DIY Rust chelation solution
Ingredients:
- 1L of H2O
- 100 g citric acid.
- 40 g - sodium carbonate OR 63 g - sodium bicarbonate OR 30 - g sodium hydroxide
- Arbitrary amount of liquid dish soap (or other wetting agent / surface tension reducer)
- 5 tbspn corn starch (for “gel”)
Procedure:
- Add acid and base to the water.
- Add soap.
- Simmer solution.
- Mix starch and water in cup.
- Stir in the starch mix until boiling.
- Cool, jar and label.
